i am so unbelievably excited for tonight. just got back from the store with my movie snacks and i am counting down the hours. thank you for your stories and for being YOU, nate. she-ra and nimona saved me and i hope they save others, too.
dude. i’m so excited for this movie. you’ve done so many amazing things. thank you for being an awesome person and a great role model. you’re the one that got me into comics! <3
Nimona’s story means so much to me and i can’t begin to express how excited i am for the movie! it’s definitely going to make me cry. thank you so much for sharing your amazing work with the world, it’s truly changed my life and the lives of so many others.
My partner and I got to see it in a real theatre this afternoon. Someone at a random theatre fought to get it on a big screen.
It was such a seminal moment in so many ways. It’s a brilliant film. There she is in 3D glory snarking to an amazing soundtrack. Fucking fabulous.
I laughed
I cried (a lot)
And I walked out going “wow ok wow”
Because I’ve loved Nimona since she was a creature on your blog, but wow. Now I feel like I can point to her and go “see that? That’s what I mean when I try and describe this experience of the world.”
Cathartic, amazing, god.
Congratulations a thousand times over.
And thank you a million times over.
So excited to expose more people to Nimona. And to binge watch this forever and give my book copy a rest 😂
nate, i first read nimona when i was in middle school. i was entirely clueless about queerness and gender but somehow the book just immediately spoke to me on a radically different level. it took me years to realize and accept myself as a trans man and finally connect the dots on why your book has stayed with me through all these years (i'm nearly done with college now!). i just watched nimona and i'm fucking floored. thank you so much and congratulations to you and the entire team. i don't have the words to express just how much nimona means to me. thank you :)
I came into the webcomic about halfway through. It was so great and funny and I mourned when it came to an end. I can't wait to see the movie so that I can experience the "great and funny" all over again. 🥰
Dude, I know you're swamped and likely never gonna see this, but I wanted to say that I sobbed out of joy watching "Nimona" today. I'm so proud of you. I've been a fan since we were both in art school (I was at SCAD while you were in school), and I am so excited to see you succeed over and over! You've literally saved my life and we've never even met. Best wishes, fellow shapeshifter.
oh Nate, you've changed all of our lives with your beautiful storytelling . . . my whole family has read Nimona and loves, loves, loves the character and the book. Thanks to you and your crew for giving us more to love by making a movie.
The movie is wonderful. One addition really hit home with a couple very pointed heartfelt lines and actions, but makes perfect sense and opens up a way to promote health and well being. Hope that a long history of the movies development will be told. Everything from writing/drawing the comic and figuring out the story. Would love to hear the conversation on how the haircut was migrated from comic to screen, and where science went? (but can sorta figure out why, as another relationship blossomed brighter) What company was trying to bury what when. Extra credit for those who watch the full credits, soooo many people made this movie a new different thing, so worth it! Looking forward to sharing the experience with family and friends.
Our cat is named Nimona, in honor of your graphic novel. Tomorrow she will see her movie premiere. I’m so proud of you and so excited for this. Good luck!
I don't know how I heard of Nimona down here in Uruguay but I loved every single word and picture in it and I used to search the few libraries in my city that hold a copy of it to give away to friends and family. I have just found out that it's turning into a movie and I hope it lives to every Nimona fan expectations.

Nimona was so precious to me the first time I read it. It felt so comforting. I can’t wait to see it animated!
