dear ND,

this is delightful!

"i can get a good grade in dentist" is super hard core relatable as a sentiment i aspire to!

what a hero's journey you share with us here!

good luck!

love,

A metaphor for how your drive for perfection can lead to self-destruction but played for laughs?

Sure, why not.

There's really no way to win when it comes to teeth and gums tbh

Floss Boss! :D I only do that after eating asparagus. Or mango. I believe that, like whales, I retain all fiber and solid particles of food between my teeth

Bahaha this is me. I do this exact thing. And i didn’t have a cavity till was 26 i think then i got 5 at once. And it was like i failed a whole year of school. Damn those cursed cavities!!! Damn them to hell!!

Anyways - it does actually help a bit for compulsive tendencies to be turned into flossing. When i feel like I’m getting too into the bad times of self destructiveness flossing can kinda reset it. who knows why?? Lol

And i did it know this till like last year! Butttt… Toothbrushes have different intensities!! You can get a soft or extra soft toothbrush!! What is this madness!!

Disclaimer: not a dentist. But I totally believe that flossing is basically useless. I went looking for research on why and how flossing is better then brushing and couldn't find anything that showed it has a noticable positive effect (for the average otherwise healthy person, I'm sure there's medical conditions that affect this). I've also asked multiple dentists whether they could show me flossing research and they always look at me like I'm insane lol. I think it's just one of those things that everyone "knows" and makes sense of you think about it for 30 seconds, but if you think about it longer than that it makes less and less sense (like why doesn't gunk accumulate more? It always seems to produce the same quality and amount of gunk on the floss no matter how long I wait. Why does it matter if your gums bleed when flossed once every 6 months? It's not like we have a good reason other than flossing and eating to have tougher gums)

I may be wrong, but I have been told enough totally untrue bs from doctors that it's worth checking.

i looked and couldn't find, but what are your preferred pronouns? I was reading one of your comics and was like "omg i love her so much!", but then thought, "oh, maybe i should say i love HIM so much? or THEM?", i just care about how you wish to be thought of. <3 <3 <3

Good lord. The moment they see the obvious results of not flossing!! I can’t
