Currently wrapping up a 2-year undergrad research project about Nimona, so I've been following the movie drama for a hot sec, waiting in my academic cave as I prayed for the resurrection. The announcement has caused some frantic last minute rewrites, but it's totally worth it for a happy ending. BIG congrats ND!!! Can't wait to see it :)
It's so crazy to me that you were someone I used to follow on tumblr for your fanart, and longed for each instalment of Nimona when it was still a webcomic - and look at you now??!! Your own Netflix show, and now Nimona's going to be a frikkin' MOVIE?? I know I don't know you personally, but I still feel weirdly proud and just so excited for your success.
My husband worked at Blu Sky for a bit (spies in disguise) and said the bits of Nimona he saw while there looked incredible and very unique. We were both quite bummed by the acquisition and dissolution of Blu Sky and were convinced Nimona would never see the light of day. I’m so glad we were wrong! I look forward to seeing the movie.
