It's an impossible moment... but I believe to love and hope and connect and build joy is the only healthy way through. Love this one, and am glad for your leaning in to new colors and possibilities.
And once again, your work helps me more than I'm able to say. I've been mourning my home and the life I built and had to leave. This really helped me feel less alone in it.
you always seem to write exactly what i didn’t know i needed to hear. thank you for another beautiful reminder of all the reasons to hold onto hope. ❤️
Sometimes it’s hard to imagine a future, but holding on to every piece of joy you can in the present…what better way to approach it? I don’t know why everything about our lives seems to be under attack right now, but they win if we give up our hope and love, and we can’t let them. Always know that your joy inspires others to keep going too 💗
My wife immediately started painting our walls, because what's a graphic design degree for if not for immediately designing all the things? But seriously, love the update.
To have this utterly human process written into words feels more necessary than I knew it to be.
Of course we all experience the loop, but I really struggle to recognize that it is a pattern that is near guaranteed. There will be a spark of hope. There will be a moment in the sun. There will come the day that my world shatters beneath my skin. But my hope will renew. Today, I needed this reminder that while loss is inevitable in life, so is love and joy.
Is that a crib you're building?

Lovely comic. Joy in the present and hope for the future are something hard to grasps.
Tonight we have just started reading Nimona to our 6 yo.
I'm so happy, you're happy, I cannot even express that.
“to hope, to have, to lose. and to hope again.”
