That second line. Feeling that so hard. Last year I went on a trip up to Jasper in the Rocky Mountains. It's a place I love. A gorgeous, wonderful place that gives a sense of what the land was like pre-colonization. And two months later, most of it was on fire.
There really are no adequate words . . . but "we are safe" are the best.
